According to reports by The Sun, the Portuguese football icon will marry Rodriguez on August 8 in Funchal, Madeira, the city where he grew up. The couple is said to have chosen a cathedral in the island's capital for the ceremony, nearly a year after announcing their engagement.
The report also claims they have booked the luxurious Savoy Palace Hotel for the wedding reception, with guests reportedly informed that parts of the hotel, including two floors and several bar areas, will be reserved for the celebration.
Earlier speculation that the couple would wed in Sintra on August 1 has since been dismissed.
If confirmed, the wedding will mark a new chapter for Ronaldo and Georgina, who have built a family together and remained one of football's most high-profile couples.
